War crimes Serb Arrested in Lipjan

Kosovo's Special Prosecutor has announced that Serb G.S. has been arrested today for war crimes committed against the civilian population in the Lipjan municipality. “During the day the Serbian Nationality defendant G.S., citizen of the Republic of Kosovo, has been arrested because of suspicion that, in co-ordination with other defendants, he has committed criminal work “War crimes against the civilian population”, contrary to Article 142 over Article 22 Criminal Codes to the Federal Socialist Republic of Yugoslavia (KPRSFJ) regarding Article 3 of the Geneva Convention, as well as criminalised with Article 146, concerning Article 31 The Penal Code of the Republic of Kosovo” is said to be reporting Procuria.
The Prosecution's full announcement:
The Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo reports the opinion that, during the day, Serbian Nationality defendant G.S., citizen of the Republic of Kosovo has been arrested, due to suspicion that, in co-ordination with other defendants, <x1) War crimes against civilian population”, in opposition to Article 142 concerning Article 22 Criminal Codes to the Federal Socialist Republic of Yugoslavia (KPRSFJ) regarding Article 3 of the Geneva Convention, as well as criminalised with Article 146, concerning Article 31 Penal Codes of the Republic of Kosovo.
The Special Prosecutor reports there is suspicion that during the time period, 15 and 16 April 1999, the defendant G.S., co-chaired with other defendants of the reserve units of Serbia's military and police units, during a civil-run offensive in the Lipjan municipality and surrounding municipalities, with the use of military force, violence, robbery and intimidation, have originally expelled the Albanian civilian population from their homes, and then from families who were trying to flee from the attacks and violence, defendants have divided dozens who then killed dozens.
By these actions, the defendant G.S., in co-ordination with other defendants, has committed criminal work “War crimes against the civilian population”, in opposition to Article 142 over Article 22 Criminal Codes to the Federal Socialist Republic of Yugoslavia (KPRSFJ) regarding Article 3 to Geneva Convention, as well as criminalised with Article 146 and related to Article 31 Penal Codes of the Republic of Kosovo.
Also, the Special Prosecutor today has requested from the Constitutional Court in Pristina the Special Department, the appointment of the detention move against defendant G.S., due to the suspicion of having carried out the above work.
