Thaci: We will prove we deserve to be part of the EU and NATO

“We will be persistent that our goals and the state of Kosovo be realised and that as soon as we are part of NATO and the EU. We will testify that we deserve to be part of NATO and the EU. In this goal we count on the help of France”, he said.

“Finance and its people have been with us in the worst, darkest days of war and years of state making and now Euro-Atlantic perspective. Therefore, let me thank you for this case to all of France's women and men who contributed to politics, diplomacy, KFOR, EULEX and all other civil institutions, who walked jointly in achieving a secure future of Kosovo”, the president stressed.

President Thaci has said we will never forget France's contribution to Kosovo's freedom and state.

While talking about his state's excellent reports with Kosovo, French diplomat Didier Chamber had some requests to Kosovo. According to him, it is essential that dialogue with Serbia resume as soon as possible because, as he said, the current status is unstable.

Ambassador Chambers also said that continuing dialogue requires real will on both sides to engage quickly in serious negotiations, with the common desire to reach a final agreement.

While, in terms of visa liberalisation, it did not give much hope, but only said co-operation with all their frustration about the delays taking place.
