Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri announced he will not participate in the Commission for Legislation, and the reasons have been explained in a letter to the chairman of this commission, MP Albulen Haxhiu.
According to Tahiri, the pre-arranged agenda at this meeting does not coincide with topics linking our institutional responsibilities and, at best, corresponds to topics that have already been addressed.
The “Picts that I have been invited to report, among them, the Noteria exam that has yet been completed, provides an opportunity that professional management issues, based on law and independent from politics, to serve political acts for their politicisation, which I, as justice minister, will not contribute to”, Tahir said.
The justice minister stressed that he is willing to report at any time and at any time that the Commission invites for his institutional responsibilities as minister, but by no means for politicising the purely professional and law enforcement processes.
