Rugova: Isa Mustafa has not withdrawn from the race for LDK chief

Two weeks away from the Kosovo Democratic League General Assembly, after the internal elections in this party. Although all LDK officials have remained silent about candidates for their first one, various potential names have been mentioned in public to receive a new mandate. Reported [...]
LDK Deputy Chairman Haki Rugova says the candidates' names will not be revealed until August 3rd, when the General Assembly will also be held.
I saw those sources. But no decision has been made there. We've stated 100 times that the candidacy will appear on the day of the Parliament. It's just talked, but it's not Isa Mustafa from running. The discussion is, the conversation is about the possibility of withdrawal, but the decision has not been made in any form, Rugova said of Periscope.
He says there will be joint agreements within the party about candidacy.
We can do it in a joint agreement. To go with one or two candidates, it is another issue we have not yet come up with such attitudes because it is not the time.
Rugova gives high marks about the LDK election process.
The elections have gone well. The list of deputies is. The Assembly is scheduled for August 3rd. I am very convinced that it will be a very good place, Rugova adds.
It was reported that the reasons for Mustafa's failure to run for the first of LDK could be his poor health, and the second is that he wants to make way for others.
As potential candidates for the first of LDK) are seen Vjosa Osmani, Lutfi Haziri, Agim Veliu, Metom Gashi and Avdullah Hoti. However, none of them have wanted to declare their ambitions for the post for many months now.
The deputy chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Agim Veliu, in a statement to Periscope, had said he still does not know whether he will be one of the candidates for chairmanship of this party.
The LDK's internal elections this year have manifested with major problems. Since the launch of the Assembly on March 8th, almost every week there has been beatings across Kosovo. /PERISCOP/
