Regon Hoti: In the U.S. I'm going as an opposition, I'm part of nobody's delegation.

But in today's reaction, Hoti has said he travels as leader of the opposition group.

With an invitation to Congress, today I am traveling to the United States. I am invited as a member of the Kosovo Assembly, as I lead the main opposition group, to attend the Parliamentary Leadership Forum organised by Congress.

The forum gathers leaders of the top parliamentary groups of 16 countries, which leaders are responsible for: (i) the functioning of the legislature, (ii) interparty relations within the legislature, (ii) the legislature's association with the executive and (iv) legislative relations with the international community.

I'm not part of anyone's delegation, as reported last night in the media. In this Forum, I represent the LDK Parliamentary Group, which is the determining group of developments in the Assembly. If the House Speaker's office has issued such a statement, then the statement should be improved” writes Hoti on notice.
