That was Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama's order to MPs in the Assembly, where it is being discussed establishing an investigative commission against the president of the Republic.
At this point, the gravity of the basic principles of the Assembly is a denominator that should unite us. Ilir Meta is no longer just the government's known opponent, but the open enemy of the Constitution. He today is the declared enemy of the Albanian Parliament. It's no longer just the politician scared to the core of reform in justice, he's the image of those scared of justice, who even over the extent of the range of aggression against partners, hurts us as deputies, as citizens, as a people, as a state of”, Rama said by the speaker.
He also commented on Meta's criticism of foreign embassies in Tirana, stressing that President “thinks of the American Embassy as the ball that puts the chest in a bathing suit. ”
Prime Minister Edi Rama sharply accused President Ilir Meta, of whom he said “has spilled the Cup” and has aimed at political and institutional instability.
He stressed that with the abolition of June 30th, the president called for the promotion of violence in opposition-run municipalities.
The Socialist Party's majority requires Ilir Meta's dismissal from the president's post following the abolition of June 30th, and therefore requires today the establishment of an investigative commission. However, the violations the president is accused of should be confirmed by the Constitutional Court, which has not yet been raised. / TCh/
