Russia's Electoral Commission refused to include several opposition candidates in the September election ballots, Kosovo Press broadcasts.
“We are power here” and “Putin is a thief”, there were some of the numerous protest slogans.
One of the most popular Russian opposition, Alexei Navalny, did not participate in the protest.
One of the opposition candidates whose candidacy was refused, Yasha Yashin invited demonstrators to go with him to the mayor's office and submit their demands.
There were no arrested persons during the protest.
