Migrants arrested in Slovenia, including some Kosovars

Slovenian police have detained and arrested 69 immigrants who were trying to illegally cross the border with Croatia in the last 24 hours. Most of those detained,48, were from Koper's district, Ilirska Bistrica and Piran, while the rest were from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, India and Turkey, broadcast Indexline. Most of those detained,48, were from Koper's district, Ilirska Bistrica and Piran, while the rest were from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, India and Turkey, broadcast Indexline.

Slovenian media write that some of those arrested are from the Republic of Kosovo.

Only some immigrants have sought asylum in Slovenia, while the rest have surrendered to Croatian authorities.

Slovenia's Interior Ministry have indicated that so far in 2019, 5345 people have been caught illegally crossing the border with Croatia.
