MBPHR and UNDP Co-operate in Supporting Farmer Women

The minister has announced it on MBPHR investments that will be realised this year under the Urban Agriculture and Development Programme, as well as all other projects aimed at strengthening the agriculture sector in the country.
Among other things, Prime Minister Zivic stressed the importance of co-operation with the aim of supporting farmers, especially those in rural areas.
“Approximate support for women in rural areas is an important step towards their independence and to increase the quality of their lives and I consider that assistance is necessary to certified their products, thus facilitating marketing for their agricultural products“, the minister said.
UNDP's leading representative, Maria Sukoko, has stressed the importance for supporting farmers' women, adding in this case that they will continue to support the agriculture sector in building capacities.
