No conditions are acceptable. Telekom's contract with Z-Mobile must be continuous. Any ongoing negotiations are unacceptable. July 30th#Fund”, writes Haxhiu.
The Kosovo Telekom Board has taken a decision to terminate the contract with Z-Mobile Company, considering that this contract signed 10 years ago has proved harmful to Telekom and, as such, has led to a financial crisis.
Kosovo Telecom and Z-Mobile have consistently had disagreements over the contract. The differences between the parties had begun when Z-Mobile requested additional numeration. The case had gone to arbitration, and the Pristina Court ruled in favour of Z- Mobile.
Meanwhile, for the damage caused, Telekom was obliged to give additional Z-Mobile numeration, offer 3G and 4G services, and pay a fine of over 25m euros in the name of damages, lost profit and arbitration procedure spending.
Z-Mobile has demanded that debt of over 25m euros be paid in the contrary would be initiated by completion procedures, meaning closing Kosovo Telecom bank accounts.
Otherwise, the Kosovo government is the owner of 100 per cent of Kosovo Telecom shares.
