Ramush Haradinaj has resigned from the post of head of the country during the day.
And after his resignation, the State goes to extraordinary elections.
Lawyer Tome Gashi in a proposal for Periscope explains the whole process after Haradinaj's resignation and what happens next to the country.
On the basis of the Kosovo Constitution's provision now is in the hands of Kosovo's president actually to appoint or condition another prime minister if the parties in agreement and for this government to continue the work that I don't believe could happen. I believe it will continue this way even though the opportunity exists, because Ramush Haradinaj is giving up the irrevocable resignation he has actually suggested that AAK will not be part of the government. If it does not continue with this government coalition and is not acceptable to another mandater by the ruling parties then the country goes to early elections and these elections must be made public or announced within the deadline, Gashi told Periscope.
Gashi emphasises that under the constitution a time is not set until the question of naming a new prime minister can drag on and continue with technical government. But it does tell us that this matter should not go on indefinitely.
In 45 days, it must be decided whether it is continued by technical government or mandated by one to be prime minister, but must be acceptable to all ruling parties. According to the Kosovo Constitution, a precise time is not determined when Kosovo's president must decide, Gashi concludes./Periscopi/
