The surprise resignation of Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, following the invitation by the Special Court, has prompted reactions in Tirana as well. The first to have reacted has been former prime minister during the Kosovo war and Diaspora minister in the Rama government, Pandeli Majko, followed by opposition leader Lulzim Basha, President Ilir Meta, former Prime Minister Sali Berisha and others.
Neither last night nor today, there is no reaction from Prime Minister Edi Rama. However, Diaspora Minister Majko, on behalf of the Albanian government, has named Haradinaj's move an act of a state man serving Kosovo. According to him, Ramush knows how to distinguish his personal destiny with that of national security. “Ramush Haradinaj has resigned from the prime minister's post as a state man. He committed an act that honours Kosovo state, which is run by statesmen who distinguish personal fate with that of national security. One man's actions are worth more than his weaknesses. I'm with Ramush today! I thank you Commander for the example of the war, and today in peace”, it is written in Pandeli Majko's reaction to social networks.
The irrevocable resignation of Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, Friday afternoon, has brought President Ilir Meta's reaction late in the evening. In a Facebook response, Meta has expressed confidence in Haradinaj's innocence, while stressing that there is no pressure that breaks the State Man and Nation Hero. <x0-renar for Ramush Haradinaj and convinced of his innocence! There is no treachery and pressure that breaks the statesman and the national hero! From today we all need to sleep less, to worry more, and to join more strongly that Kosovo and our region are unconcerned in our peace and security, as well as in the European future”, writes President Ilir Meta
After Pandeli Majkos, the second who has reacted has been chief opponent Lulzim Basha. DP chairman Basha saw Haradinaj's decision as the act of a man who puts his homeland above everything.
Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj's “resignation is the act of a man who puts his homeland above everything. Ramush has always served Kosovo in good days and bad days with self - sacrifice. Ramush Haradinaj is Kosovo, free Kosovo, independent Kosovo, European Kosovo. Nobody and nothing desecrate Kosovo's liberation war and the Haradinaj family's subliance sacrifice on the altar of freedom!”, Lulzim Basha stressed.
Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, after praising Haradinaj's act as a dignified statesman, calls on political forces in Kosovo, its citizens and the entire Albanian nation to staunchly reject all efforts and backstages for partition and fragmentation of Kosovo. In a Facebook post, Berisha expresses appreciation for Haradinaj's decision.
The valiant <x0mandandant, who fought heroism against the invaders and helped and saved hundreds of Albanian families from the Serb barbarians during the war, statesman with integrity, and staunch native prime minister Ramushi bravely opposed the project of Vucic's Great Serbia, Zograph Bis, Albanian-speaking Miladin and Baton Stanisic, for which he won admiration, the great support of Kosovo citizens and the entire Albanian nation. On this occasion I express my steadfast honour for Ramush Haradinaj's manly act and steadfast confidence in international justice, which has twice declared him innocent. I also call on the political forces in Kosovo, its citizens and the entire Albanian nation to firmly oppose all efforts, the setbacks for the division and fragmentation of Kosovo of Vuciqi's Great Serbia project, its Albanian-speaking servants, Albanobba, Zographer Bis, Albanian-speaking Miladin Baton Stanisic, who celebrate the resignation of Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj's and his call by The Hague tribunal”, writes except for Sali Berisha in his response tonight.
