In this case, besides the artistic memorial points, there will be an inauguration of Bekim River research work called “Shakespeare and Leka Dukagini Canon” (A comparison study of William Shakespeare's tragedy in context with the Albanian standard code, Leka Dukagjin Canun).
His latest performance was titled “Arturo Wi” and came in honour of the 20th anniversary of the River's creativity and the 120th anniversary of the performance's birth, Bertolt Brecht. Because of the heavy health situation, director Lumí was not even present at the premiere of this show.
Bekim River in 2016 has been changed as the best director of the year. The best annual division was shared by the professional Theatre from Prizren for the “performance. Two gentlemen's servant, the annual award for the most successful international presentation for 2015, is shared by the Film Theatre House “Art”, the annual award for best director in 2015, Bekim River for the “John Cages Hamlet”. The assessments are made from the composed jury: Agim Selimi, Arrian Krasniqi, Besim Rexaj, Ramadan Musliu and Bislim Muqaj.
