A 65-year-old Serb becomes aware she called on the phone to report a bomb threat last week on a flight so she could keep a traveler in place who had refused.
The unidentified man confessed to fraud, which caused the evacuation of Lufthansas LH411's flight before leaving Belgrade for Frankfurt, says Sky News, translates Periscopi.
This morning, at 6, an unknown person called and reported that there was a bomb on the plane leaving for Frankfurt,” said Serbia's interior minister in a statement after the threat was taken.
The man in question told the authorities that he had met two travelers that morning who had refused the invitation to dinner. He experienced this as a humiliation, and he had deceived him into keeping the traveler in the country after failing to find the hotel.
The threat resulted in the evacuation of 130 passengers, and of five crew members from the plane. The search team had found nothing suspected. The flight had been extended for eight hours, with several passengers receiving alternative flights unable to wait.
