This step follows Kosovo President Hashim Thaci's decree, which has already entered into force for drafting such a list, while by the end of the job, the country will implement the European Union of Persons, Groups and Organisations involved in terrorist acts, which have been updated in January of this year.
There are 21 groups or ethnicities on that list and 15 people.
Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri highly values the importance of drafting such a list.
“I think this contributes greatly to our national security, it contributes to international judicial co-operation even in relation to Kosovo with the European Union, and we are entering a very important process where we will increase care, our commitment in the face of individuals who may be on the list in front of people who may thus be leaders of these organisations and who in some form can visit Kosovo or the region, and we will be more vigilant, more engaged in facing threats that could come from such organisations”, the minister said Tahiri.
The decree of President Thaci is backed by US National Security Adviser John Bolton and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeii, who have specifically singled out Hezbollah's name as a terrorist organization.
The security director, Nuredin Ibishi, says about the Voice of America that the map of the list would help increase the country's security rate.
Kosovo as part of the anti-terrorist coalition is very necessary to have the list of terrorist organisations as well as persons or leaders of these organisations especially in this fragile part where they actually pass into Kosovo or have passed without proper control of”, he said.
Ibishi counts some of the benefits of creating such a list.
The benefits are from those that Kosovo so far is due to a very prolonged process of Interpol's Kosovo office, which runs through the U. NMIK has had a lot of jams, often it happened to pass the person and then realize that he was part of a terrorist organization or a wanted international person. With this new system and new evidence that will be at the border crossing points, but even inside it will be easier to identify those who are part of these organisations”, Ibishi said.
Kosovo is part of the global coalition against terrorism, while it has been focusing for a long time on disrupting the tide of foreign fighters and preventing financing of terrorist groups.
