To avoid such cases, doctors say that immediate contact with cold water should be avoided.

At the 24-hour Health Centre in Zrinec, Vlora since 1 June, there have been 15 visits a day.

The doctor, Kostela Gicaj, points out that there have been life - threatening cases among them that have been evacuated on time.

We've had an anaphylactic shock, which is an emergency. Prompt measures must be taken and treated quickly. We have the entire material base to provide assistance and there has been no need to transport to the hospital: he said.

Avoiding exposure to the sun during peak hours remains a major advice for doctors.
