In a post in his Facebook account, Kurt has shown a historical mini of this day.
“From President Woodrow Wilson, who intervened with the principle of self-determination of people at the Versailles Conference and saved Albania from the destruction of President Bill Clinton who, with NATO aircraft, intervened against Milosevic's Yugoslavia and saved Kosovo from Serbian genocide, from President George Bush, who threatened Milosevic for Christmas in 1992 to his son, President George W. Bush, who on June 10th 2007 in Fushe Kruje said “is enough, Kosovo is independent!”, US commitment to us has both the extension in history and the principle in politics”, Kurti wrote.
His complete scripture:
I don't know if July 4th, 1776, has been a hot, hot day like us today, but this date has given so much temperature to politics and history since then, on both sides of the Atlantic, and not alone.
13 years before the French Revolution, 13 British colonies declared independence under the liberation and anticolonial war now known as the American Revolution. Much courage and work, much self - sacrifice and sacrifice, of many, took before Independence Day but also after that, to build and develop the United States.
From President Woodrow Wilson who intervened with the principle of self-determination of people at the Versailles Conference and saved Albania from the destruction of President Bill Clinton who, with NATO aircraft, intervened against Milosevic's Yugoslavia and saved Kosovo from Serbian genocide, from President George Bush, who threatened Milosevic for Christmas in 1992 to his son, President George W. Bush, who in Fushe Kruje on June 10th 2007 said “is enough, Kosovo is independent!”, US commitment to us has both the extent to history and principle in politics.
A masterpiece refuses to give in its first reading its full meaning, its essential beauty. Therefore, we must reread the American masterpiece of revolution and independence. 243 years later, its universality exceeds the context where it was born and remains inexorable.
The Land of the Dream could not be the Earth of Life, Freedom and Happiness. Because it was made up of people who believed in in in unmovable rights and in equality with each other. The US Declaration of Independence is a forerunner of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
So, Happy Fourth of July! Not just Americans.
