Over 40 people have found death on the streets of Kosovo for just six months of 2019, and this is disturbing according to I KSHP.
They have also indicated that the most frequent cause of accidents is the human factor, thus giving some recommendations for communication care.
Read below IKSHP response:
Kosovo's National Public Health Institute (IKSHP) expresses deep concern over the high number of fatal trafficking accidents where only during the first six months of this year have more than 40 people lost their lives.
The causes are different, but of course the human factor is more frequent since general rules in traffic are not being observed, but not lacking even the road and vehicle factor because in many countries the signs of communications and old cars with multiple technical shortcomings are said in response.
In this case, the National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo provides recommendations aimed at preventing the number of traffic accidents:
- Establishing an action plan for preventing accidents and approval with urgent procedures from the Kosovo Parliament.
- Regorizely implemented by the Law for Communication to stop driving for repeated serious wrongdoing.
- With various educational programs, informing people of the specific drivers of their role in preventing accidents that occur as a result of their mistakes and the ability to provide first aid.
- The involvement of mass media in various campaigning aimed at preventing accidents.
- As the new school year begins, the issue of children's safety in communications becomes sensitive by organising educational clocks for conduct of pedestrians in communications, systematic learning of communications rules.
- The immediate departure of old vehicles from circulation, rigorous technical control of all vehicles.
- Regular, periodic, and complementary medical examinations with rigorous mental health assessment of drivers who have committed serious consecutive offenses.
- To regulate road infrastructure, to become road maintenance, to complete signaling and rigorous compliance with car parking rules.
- Automotive management accurately adhere to signs of communication and the code of civil courtesy.
- rigorous inspection of auto-schools and criteria for patenting drivers.
- Footmen respect signs of communication.
National Institute experts warn and warn that unless urgent measures are taken, the expected loss of life expectancy of residents will be enormous, so it appeals to all citizens to be very cautious on the direction of vehicles, as the vehicle is the killer weapon that takes innocent victims.
