The documentary relates Kosovo's war and the violent expulsion of Albanians by Serb paramilitary military forces.
In a casual word, Wessel, recalling once again Serbia's crimes in Kosovo, said his idea of an International Tribunal for Serbian genocide -- that is, to repay the sacrifice of Kosovo Albanians and also to establish justice -- denied for two decades.
Serbia is the state that has committed genocide in Kosovo, with its criminals causing much suffering on our innocent population. So, we are not talking about military confrontations between the Kosovo Liberation Army and Serbia's army and police, but we are talking about a completely organised action by the Serbian state and carried out by its military and police forces, on children, old men and women vulnerable. These actions are condemned by every international and human right”, Wessel stressed, are made known in a media report.
The head of the Parliament reiterated that his initiative will go to the end, and the International Tribunal for Serbian genocide will happen inevitable.
He said that it is the greatest shame a nation can bear during history if it does not answer for the crimes committed against innocent people.
Wessel praised the documentary author, renowned journalist Aslan Bajrami, for his extraordinary work since the war period, as he said.
He also called on the students to get these topics and evidence, and address them, to make the most of what happened 20 years ago.
The words will not bring justice, but the facts. As we talk about thousands of people killed and thousands of other women raped, to confront the international tribullal, we must have concrete facts, accepted by international justice”, he stressed.
He warned that a memorial monument of great size will be built in the Mitrovica municipality, in which there will be a museum room of confession for Serbian genocide in the Mitrovica region.
