About $28 billion will be invested in the West Coast and Gaza, while other billions will be invested in Jordan, Lebanon and Egypt, which have accepted a large number of Palestinian refugees over the past few decades.
But this plan does not include whether the US will mediate a political solution between Israelis and Palestinians, will Palestinians get independence, how the status of Palestine refugees, the city of Jerusalem and many other unresolved problems will be resolved, Euronews reports.
Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas also announced on Saturday that they are working on an economic peace plan that will be realised in the US, and the meeting will be held in Bahrain, which according to them is a form of Palestinian purchase.
But, the president said focusing on economic issues ahead of political ones is “unacceptable”.
Speaking of this plan, President Abbas also added that “this plan would not pass because it would end Palestinian cause”.
This economic plan included building highways linking Gaza and the West Coast, building railways, increasing the tourism industry. The total number of projects is 179. The White House predicted that such a plan would be realised in a period of 10 years, which would double Palestinian GDP.
