Thaci threatens the EU: As you keep us isolated, populist ideas are growing in Kosovo

Thaci, who is participating in the “Forum Be Secure” in Montenegro, has said that with the same challenges facing the Balkans, states that are now in the European Union have once faced.

The European Union cannot be complete without the Balkans. All those EU states have had such challenges, but have overcome them. The closer we are to them, the more we learn. This concrete inaction of the European Union should not be allowed. Never better Balkans. Now we all communicate with each other. All countries have overcome the challenges of citizenship. Now we can talk about other issues, such as economic development”, Thaci said.

Thaci, on the other hand, has said it is fortunate that Kosovo has built good reports with neighbouring countries.

We have been very controversial on the question of Democracy with Montenegro. But Montenegrin officials have shown patience with us. Even with Macedonia, we have good reports. The big challenge lies in the reports with Serbia. The normalisation of reports between the two countries is achieved more quickly if the EU joins us more. And not to isolate us and discriminate as it is in Kosovo. If we continue to be isolated, there will be populist ideas and anti-Atlantic spirit. At least to be faster, and the most tangible European future for Kosovo, otherwise past ideas increase. People in Kosovo will begin to think that we are loving them, but the EU does. No one can reason on non-liberalisation of visas. Reports and words are also in 2019, as if they were copies of 2008. I understand that five Sė countries have recognised Kosovo. I understand that.
