Protests in Albania, Russian influence? How Rama and Stoltenberg Answer

At joint press conference with Prime Minister Rama, Secretary General NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, was asked by Top Channel, that starting with the recent wave of protests in Western Balkan countries, including Albania, is there information that Russian influence in these processes requires a destabilised region. In response [...]
In his response, Stoltenberg, stressed democracy and respect for democratic institutions, appealing for dialogue despite debates, passing the word on Prime Minister Rama, whether he has Russian influence in Albania.
Political disputes are part of democracy. What is not acceptable is violence and any attempt to undermine democratic institutions. Respect democratic institutions. Any dispute should be resolved through democratic processes. The elections are an essential element of democratic processes in NATO member states, so I call on all sides to participate in the process. The sides solve problems through dialogue. We have seen Russia's efforts to get involved in institutions of democratic countries, including NATO institutions”, Stoltenberg said.
While Prime Minister Rama was more direct, not denying the possibility of a Russian involvement in what is happening in the region.
“S first is no secret, that Russia's approach to NATO, to the EU, as well as to integration processes is not a friendly approach. Second, I want to underline that in no NATO country has what is happening here and what some main opposition forces warn and try to happen here. It would be a disgrace to us, as a NATO country. Thirdly, something like that does not go in favour of the country, does not match the interests, values, principles of neither NATO nor the EU. As such, by or by will they bring water to the mill of those who do not want the integration of Western Balkan countries in both NATO and the EU”, Rama replied. /Tch/
