O'Connell: Someone told Flora Brovina to make noise with the picture

The British Embassy in Kosovo, Ruairi O'Connell, has talked about publishing the photograph that MP Flora Brovina has taken, which claimed to be evidence of the sexual violence that Serbs have done in Kosovo. According to him, someone has told Brovina to make a noise in this area and estimates that this should not happen.

O'Connell says the whole world knows and there is evidence that sexual violations have occurred in Kosovo and requires all to help survivors, to support and allow them to speak.

There is a special prayer for all men in Kosovo, meanwhile, saying society is not what is not supporting them.

All he said about the matter:

I felt bad for some reason. I know Brovina, I know what she did, I know what happened around her and I don't want to attack Flora. Someone told him to make noise in this field, I'm sure, I don't know him but I think. But it doesn't make any noise in this field. I'm touched on two things, one is that they don't do it because the survivors suffered a lot, but, you asked me earlier, did I have hope for Kosovo? and Kosovo's response has given me the maximum hope changing the set. What has been the reaction of citizens? Before it was understood that that picture is not true, people have sought justice from Serbia for what happened in Kosovo. It happened, and this was confirmed at the Tribunal in The Hague and made it completely up for justice. But their reaction is not to campaign against Serbia, I have said it did not mishandle the victim. It doesn't make politics in place of justice, and it's something that we today are very difficult, but Kosovars have fully understood, that if we don't want to have war anymore, we should have the attention of victims, survivors and Kosovars' response has given me hope.

They don't just make noises against Serbia about what happened. Yes, it did, it took justice, every victim, every head of these acts to be brought to justice and condemned. But my question would be: Do those who are crying out for justice agree to have the survivors of sexual violence in their family, whether women, sister, daughter? For we know of many cases, because we've been cooperating many years with organizations of survivors who haven't told anyone that they were the victims of this act, because they know and heard family members say: Too bad, it's not acceptable, it takes justice, but I had killed myself if I had had had a wife raped. What pressure do they have? Vasfije Krasniqi Godman she is one of the bravest men in the world. Not just because she spoke but she accepted the role of spokeswoman for everything. There are many victims who have no power to explain their story. Every time Vasfia talks about what happened, she is overcoming what has happened. That woman is unbelievable to me.

How did he do it? Because he has the support of his husband and brother. The support of society is very important, even as the reaction has told us that it is possible.

My prayer is that every man should say: Woman, (that's mother, daughter, sister, sister) I don't know what happened during the war, but I hope nothing bad happened to you, but we just believe that if she did, you could say it and support you.
