Moghrin: I hope EU countries make decision to open negotiations with Albania

Federica Moghrini has indicated that EU member states must make the important decision to open negotiations with Albania and Northern Macedonia.

In a statement to foreign media, the European Union's top representative said she hopes negotiations will open as soon as possible for the two countries.

“Today is exactly 1 year after the signing of the Prespa Agreement between Greece and Northern Macedonia. And I think we should remind ourselves of the power of leadership and courage, as well as the important steps taken in the Western Balkans. I hope that member states will remember this by making an important decision in the coming days for opening negotiations for both Albania and Northern Macedonia. I hope and I believe it should be done as soon as possible,” said Moghrin.
