A man left without a cistern who robbed a bank of bananas, stealing more than a thousand Euros before he handed himself over to the police, has received his reward - 14 months in prison.
Lawrence James Vanderdwell threatened a cashier at a branch of Barclays Bank in Bournemouth with a fruit, which he had covered with a black plastic bag, and had shouted “This is a robbery, give me the church”.
Vonderdale later went to police officials after that incident and told them he had committed an armed robbery “and wanted to be arrested” but was told to go to a local police station.
The Court of Bournemouth heard how this man, who had recently been expelled from his apartment, decided to rob a bank in order to arrest “and have a roof over his head”.
Then he was imprisoned, and the judge had sentenced him to 14 months in prison after accepting the crime. /Periscope
