Six people died after the fire engulfed a psychiatric hospital in the Ukrainian town of Odessa, authorities said. Police opened a criminal investigation into possible violations of security legislation.
Ukraine's president, Voldymyr Zelenskiy, said he regrets the terrible “radition” and instructed Prime Minister Voldymyr Hroysman to establish a commission for investigation.
Deadly fires are not rare in Ukraine due to old infrastructure and poor security measures.
