“Retaking” is an interactive series of portraits, celebrating the strength, perseverance and contribution of women from different generations and ethnicities, working in different sectors for justice, equality and truth.
The initiative featuring the portraits of 99 women will be placed in Newborn from 7 June to 14 June.
The opening speech will be delivered by former Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga.
“Throughout history, women's stories and experiences around the globe have been actively printed as a result of shame, stigma and fear cultivated by patriarchal structures under which gender inequality continues. 20 years after the end of the war, women in Kosovo are restoring their confessions as leaders, invasors, educators, athletes, artists, narrators and narrators, said the organisers' statement.
