A nurse has been given a double death sentence following the murder of 85 patients under his care.
While working in clinics in northern Germany's towns in Delmenhorst and Oldenburg between 2000 and 2005, Niels Hogel used various drugs to trigger heart attacks on patients in order to display his own innovation skills.
Addressing Hogel, the judges in Oldburg today declared that his crimes were “mat in any comparison”
He added: “The human mind corresponds to these criminal acts.
Police suspect the final death toll caused by Hoegel could be over 200. However, the court could not say that for sure because it was impossible for victims to undergo autopsy because of their initial burning, writes Periscope.
