Months ago, the government of Germany lifted a ban on advertising abortion services dating back to the Nazi era.
However, the revised law allows doctors only to claim to have abortions.
The two doctors have also described the procedure of “abort without anesthesia” in a protected “medis”.
Two anti abortion activists have reported the gynecologists' website to prosecutors.
Doctors Bettina Gaber and Verena Weyer said they plan to appeal against fines.
In January, after several months of debate, Germany's ruling coalition, led by the democristans, changed the 1933 law, which banned abortion advertising with the aim of improving women's rights.
However, the reform did not go far enough to allow descriptions of abortion services offered.
