The government lost 12m euros to this EU fund for building a depot that would eliminate this danger. Failure to find a location prompted the European Commission this month to withdraw the money Kosovo had made available since 2015.
There have been another 43 million in advance for other projects in various sectors that have not been exploited as opportunities by the Government in lack of projects.
Meanwhile, dangerous waste continues to be thrown near settlements, polluting land, water, and air. Even the residents of the Chikotove Old and Dobroshevc villages of Drenas cannot escape this danger. The team from the Ferronikli factory every day is added to the vicinity of their homes.
