A former police official from Florida is accused of failing to confront a suspect in a school massacre. He was arrested for neglect on duty. If convicted, he risks up to 100 years in prison.
Scott Peterson, 56, was on duty when he was invited by high school officials during February 2018, where 17 students and staff members were killed. Peterson reportedly had not responded directly to the attack, writes Periscope.
The arrest and accusation of Mr. Peterson came in 14 months of investigation by the Florida Law Department.
“There may be no excuse for his inaction, and there is no doubt that failure cost a loss of lives. ”
Mr. Lawyers. Peterson didn't comment immediately. The cop in question is being called "discreet" by people after not risking his life by going to school. /Periscope
