A day before the elections, the law -- namely, the Election Code -- prohibits every party from campaigning or propaganda to voters.
Only the management of the process certified by the CEC are in office on Election Silence Day to make the distribution of material and ballot sheets at polling stations.
However, the situation has been tense in Albania due to the opposition parties' nonparticipation in local elections.
President Ilir Meta changed the election date by setting 13 October, but the Socialist Party and Prime Minister Edi Rama do not recognise the new date by inviting citizens to take part in the election tomorrow.
Tensions have occurred in municipalities led by the Democratic Party, which has not allowed schools to become polling stations, while some KZAZ has been damaged, marking also the clashes.
All events of office and opposition have blamed each other.
