With 100 votes for, 7 against and 2 abstentions were voted in Parliament a few minutes ago against President Ilir Meta's decision to abolish June 30th as the date for local elections.
Among other things in the resolution adopted by the Socialist Party's deputies and some of the deputies of the new parliament are said to be “Albania's Assembly calls on the president of the Republic to reflect by turning the president's institution into the boundaries of the constitutionally recognised competencies and not to replace any other action in flagrant violation of the Constitution. ”
