Swedish prosecutors have filed a request for Julian Assange's ban on rape charges.
Deputy Director Eva-Marie Persson said on the morning that she would issue an arrest for Assange if the Uppsala District Court applied for his imprisonment, writes Independent, translates Periscope.
If this ban is offered, then this would be the first step in the process of extraditing Wikipedia's founder from the UK, where he currently stands, and where he will hold 50 weeks in prison for breaking bail conditions.
Sweden reopened the press on charges of sexual rape, made in 2010.
The 47-year-old who denies these accusations was arrested after police went to the embassy during April after Ecuador had withdrawn his political asylum. /Periscope
