Kosovo jihadists who went to the Syrian war stopped returning to their homeland from returning to their homeland. 80 of them from 132 Kosovars reportedly have moved to Syria, have been killed in war zones. Some of the families in Kosovo have only opened up for them.
There is no grave for any of them in their homeland. For seven years the body of no Kosovar who has been killed in Syria has not returned.
The 23-year-old stream, the 27-year-old initiative, Melos, only 17-year-old Nazmija from Gollaku, are just some of the Kosovars who have been killed at war grounds in Syria. The bodies of any of these murdered Kosovars are unknown where they are buried. The grave families have not even dug up in Kosovo.
The last reported victim to die in Syria is Root from Pristina. He allegedly passed away the following week in conflict areas, as well as part of the group Al-Nusra.
In Syria in March of this year, Starra Kastrati of Kamenica was also killed. She had left two children behind. And her family had opened their eyes to the girl who had joined the Islamic State since 2014 and who after four years of stay had been killed. Nazmija had the same fate as at Start.
But not even a grave with any of those people killed in Syria has opened in Kosovo. No body of any person who has gone there has ever returned to Kosovo.
Kosovo security institutions have no record of the fate of Kosovars killed in conflict areas in Syria.
The Express newspaper has contacted the police, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Justice. All three institutions have claimed to have no information about the return of Kosovars' troops who have gone to Syria.
“We have no information on their bodies”, ministers Abelard Tahiri and Ekrem Mustafa have said.
According to the Kosovo Police, the number of persons returning to Kosovo or even in other countries where they traveled is 132, including 120 men, 6 women and 6 children.
The number of Kosovars who became part of Syria's war began to rise at the end of 2012 and early 2013.
The number of dead persons in the conflict area is 80, of which 77 male - sex members killed, and three persons, including a male - sex person, a female member, and a child born in the conflict area, are reported to have died of natural causes.
Meanwhile, about 30 fighters -- 49 women and 8 children -- remain in the conflict area.
