Painful confession of lyapyan that Serb forces executed at the center of Podujevo

Twenty years ago, in the centre of the town of Podujevo, seven members of the Duriqi family were executed by Serb forces. Today, after two decades, Enver Duri will not hold back his tears when she recalls that she lost her family on the day of March 28, 1999.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Enver was killed by four children, two daughters and two sons.

The murder of my children occurred on March 28, 1999, in the centre of Podujevo. To save the family from continuing Serbian attacks on villages in the Podujevo municipality, he says he sent them to the city, Podujevo.

My family was sheltered at the Boguyevci family, in advance in our village started ethnic cleansing so we had to get the children out of the village. I was a member of the KLA at the time. In Podujevo they have been executed by the Bugujevci family and my children, the elders and the wife,”, he says away.

Enver is now disabled in the war. He expresses disappointment with the country's institutions when he speaks of justice that is not being put into place for crimes committed by Serbian forces.

It's a serious question. Our institutions never thanks to you, never for life! No millimeters have moved to the job, let it remain in their conscience, if they have a conscience”, he says as he looks at pictures of his children.

The “exhibition was once that never be as good as” was organised on Monday evening at the Kosovo Documentation Centre in the town library “Hivzi Sylejmani” in Pristina by the Fund for Humanitarian Law in Kosovo.

Even Mejrem as if Enver expects more local institutions' commitment to whitewash cases and justice to be put in place for the killings committed in Kosovo.

We're waiting for justice, waiting for government officials to do more. We have so much frustration, we need to be given a little more strength, we're tired of”, she says disappointed.

The “exhibition was once never held as often as” was held to commemorate the killings of 1,000 and 133 children during the 1998- 2000.

In Kosovo, between 1,000 and 24 children are considered killed, while 109 other children are missing.
