Oncology Branch Required in Pec

The head of the Women's Association in the Fight Against Dukagjin Cancer, Najije Uka-Skari, says the main requirement of this association to the Parliament and the Health Ministry is the opening of the oncological centre in Pec.

This association also requires the visit of at least once a week of a rheumatologist and oncologist to Pec, the sharing of hormone therapy for the region, the release of payment for all tests for at least once a year for all cancers in a way to prevent this disease and others.

Our society's first request is to open a branch of oncology in Pec. The second requirement is to come at least 1 times a week a rheumatology and an oncologist in our municipality. Third request is hormone therapy to be divided into Pec... The fourth requirement is health insurance finally to end. The fifth requirement is to release all the payments and recordings that are necessary for early discoveries of various cancers, free of charge, for the entire year for untouched persons”, she said.

Another requirement of this association is to cover state financial expenses for those of two members affected by cancer. She said there have been cases when two children, or two partners, of a family have been affected by this disease, while financial coverage has been very difficult.

The women's association at war against breast cancer on the level of Dukagjin was founded in December 2013.
