According to the Global Anti-Organised Crime Initiative report to the six countries of the Western Balkans, from illegal activity in northern Kosovo, the state budget loses about 750 thousand euros a week, which is smuggled into derivatives, smuggling of construction materials, drugs, cigarettes, etc. According to a simple calculator, it turns out that within the year the state ark loses about 40m euros a year.
About 750 thousand euros are estimated to lose Kosovo's budget a week from illegal activities in northern Kosovo, while oil derivatives are goods that are mostly smuggled from the north to the south.
Besides oil derivatives, in that part of the country there are also smuggling of construction materials, drugs, cars, cigarettes, food items, and so on, writes Voice.
So says the report released two days ago in Vienna, Austria, by the Global Anti-Organised Crime Initiative in six Western Balkan countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia and Serbia).
