Italy's Interior Minister Mateo Salvin has supported the idea of Serbia's membership in the European Union, at the same time rejecting Turkey's Inquisition.
He has spoken after elections in the European Parliament, displaying support for Serbia for what he stressed recently he met with Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, reports “Tanjug”
“I have met with the Serbian president, while the idea of Serbia becoming a member of the European Union is interesting if viewed from geographical, social and cultural terms”, Salvin said.
“Turkey? No, it's not. But EU enlargement and the clever integration of some nearby states, why not?”, he said.
