This iftar did not go unpunished.
According to critics, it is not the tradition of Albanians eating food on the streets and that such a practice was presenting the country as an Islamic state.
But Kosovo is not the only state in which such a practice was practiced.

Other cities, among the most modernized in the world, did the same.
During yesterday, Muslim believers laid Iftar on the streets of Vienna.
This is reportedly practiced almost every year, as the month of Ramadan and fasting are part of the cultural life in Vienna.
Fasting is not only experienced in spirits but also means socialism and unity for Muslims.
People of different backgrounds and cultures get together, feed, talk, and exchange ideas.
Many take their family, friends, or neighbors with them.
In such cases, the Bosnian mosque in Hippogasse always opens the doors for Muslims and all those who want to taste iftar in open environment.
The open-air Iftar Festival always collects thousands of people from the Muslim community.
Even occasional passersby often sit down and taste iftar.
