The coalition of local NGOs for monitoring elections “Democracy in Action” is monitoring the management of the election process with the presence of its observers in all (87) locations in four municipalities: Northern Mitrovica, Zubin Potok, Leposaviq and Zvecan, where voter turnout rights stand at 57 thousand and 983 voters.
Through a media communiqué, DnV monitors have announced they will not observe the election process throughout the day until the completion of the counting process.
“DnV calls on all commissioners, observers of political parties and all other participants in the election process to be committed to meeting their obligations to ensure free and fair elections”.
“Democracy in Action is the local coalition of non-government Kosovo organisations for election monitoring. This coalition has been monitoring all election processes since 2007. For the extraordinary election mayor in municipalities: Northern Mitrovica, Zubin Potok, Leposaviq and Zvecan, May 19th, DnV has accredited 116 observers, including volunteers at the mobile call and epic centre who will be on the ground to observe the prosperity of the election process”, it is said in the communique.
