This clinic offers tecriar health services to all affected by mountain diseases in Kosovo.
But such service is also required at the Peja Hospital.
The lack of oncological services at the General Hospital in Pec has prompted the Women's Association to fight breast cancer on the level of Dukagjin to collect signatures in order to petition for the implementation of certain requirements.
On Tuesday, this association has submitted the petition with 12 thousand and 649 signatures in the Kosovo Assembly, through which they have requested realisation of their demands, writes Periscopi.
The head of the Women's Association in the Fight Against Dukagjin Cancer, Najije Uka-Skari, said the main requirement of this association to the Parliament and the Health Ministry is the opening of the oncological centre in Pec.
Our association's first request is to open a branch of oncology in Pec”, Uka-Skringer said.
In terms of this requirement, the Health Ministry has told Periscope that they will provide support to empower oncological services.
The “Since oncology services are organised at the digestive level, the SSH will provide support for the empowerment of these services, while the USKUK Board is the one who proposes or makes decisions for services that are under this institution dependent on their development. The Pec Hospital is part of the USKKUK, according to the Law on Saintship”, said the Ministry's response.
The Society's next request was to visit at least once a week a rheumatologist and an oncologist in Pec.
They also wanted to be released from payments for all tests at least once a year for all cancers in a way that prevents the disease and others.
As for the rheumatologist from the ministry, they said that the Pec Hospital would address this issue, while the lack of oncology service in this hospital, which is organised at the tespriar level as a service to Kosovo, makes an oncologist visit to this hospital impossible.
As for the payment issue, the Ministry of Health said it is regulated with administrative instruction.
“With administrative guidelines for co-paid services, the payment of these services is released several categories such as diabetes, those from malaria and other chronic diseases, war disabilities, students, students, pregnancy, etc. Also, even categories that are involved in the Ministry of Labour and Social Management's social schemes, say the ministry's response. /Periscopi
