Deputs approved for the draft resolution to establish the tribunal for condemning the Serbian genocide in Kosovo during 1998-1999.
The main attention was received by Flora Brovina, who reflected a photograph with which she wanted to reflect Serb sexual violence against Albanian women during the war.
But that picture turned out to be taken from a pornographic film, and all of this caused great reaction in Kosovo. Through a Twitter post, the British Embassy has stressed that serious crimes must be investigated by relevant institutions.
“concerned by recent events in the Parliament this week. It is important that claims of serious crimes during the conflict be investigated by relevant institutions, above all by giving priority to justice and support for survivors, victims and families, according to the rule of law and not to political opportunism” writes Britain's Embassy.
