Kosovo analyst Agon Maliqi has made a Facebook post after today's action in the north of Kosovo Police, where at least 11 people were arrested, suspected of various criminal acts.
Mr. Maliqi linked today's action to what happened last week in Pristina in the case of the Fayde, where the name of the Parliament Speaker was also mentioned. Kadri Wessel of one of the suspects writes Periscope.
Maliqi says the “interethnic structure of organised crime also has political addresses that have enabled it to live quietly and turn into a threat to national security”.
He next mentions one of the suspects in the case of the Fayde, known as Curri, who he believes has been freely co-existing with our political elite.
This is his full status on Facebook:
The interethnic structure of organised crime, which for years co-operates without problems between the south and the north, which was targeted last week in Pristina and today in the north, there are political addresses that have enabled them to live quietly and turn into a threat to national security. There are even media addresses (<x0) This job cannot be completed and closed with patriotic spectacles, but there must be political accountability. This cousin. Clearly, there is no problem living together with our political elite. Some time ago I provoked a senior NATO official, since he seemed to have access to very classified information, and I asked him who controls who in smuggling in the north: crime policy or crime politics? He laughed. “I can't tell you more, but they're too interconnected”.
