Vetevendosje defends Rexhep Selimi, attacks Alexander Lumez

The Vetevendosje movement has accused the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council of blackmail. Alexander Lumez has said he does not represent the State but the interest groups. All this response came after the Prosecutorial Council a week ago accused Rexhep Selimi of defending the Vetevendosje criminal groups has termed it blackmailing a response from the Council [...]

Vetevendosje has named it blackmailing a response by the first week's Prosecutorial Council, saying Rexhep Selimi supports groups that violate laws in Kosovo.

Through a response, the VV has said that none of the members of the Prosecutorial Council has withdrawn from these verbal allegations of the government's highest body with Kosovo's prosecutorial system, including State Prosecutor Alexander Lumezi.

The “passed seven days and still none of the members of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council has been distanced from the blackmailing and unprecedented response published by the press office of this institution”, Vetevendosje's reaction said.

A week ago, the organisation that rules with the justice system, the Prosecutorial Council, had allegedly charged that Rexhep Selimi has helped forces that have not contributed to the rule of law in Kosovo.

However, the prosecutorial system is the only institution responsible for pursuing all those who strengthen groups that do not help rule the law, but that this institution has not announced whether it has initiated investigations against Vetevendosje MP on these charges against him.

The Prosecutorial Council has consistently stood up for charges against this system, which is responsible for prosecuting the perpetrators, which continues to be criticised for lack of results, especially in fighting corruption and organised crime.

So we strongly stress once again that Kosovo's prosecutorial system consists of professional institutions, founded on Constitutions and Laws, which are steadfast in fulfilling their mission, vision and objectives and are unconventional by any claims, including the recent reckless, false and biased claim of MP Selimi, who has always served forces that have not helped strengthen the rule of law in our country”, it is said in a response to the Prosecutorial Council.

MP Rexhep Selimi in RTK has said on Friday that, along with the Government, the chief state prosecutor, Alexander Lumezi, should leave.

When this government leaves, this government has to pack up the bag with it. This chief prosecutor is the number one falsifacator. What mechanisms this person has created in justice is to be afraid”, he said.

Vetevendosje, meanwhile, considers that the Prosecutorial Council's response to Rexhep Selimi is also blackmailing the Vetevendosje Movement.

Their collective response, as long as none of the members and members have withdrawn from that content, poses blackmail to a representative of the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo and to a parliamentary political subject”, he added.

Vetevendosje has cited several cases of crimes that have occurred and have never been discovered amid which the whiteening of Astrit Dehar's death in prison, the theft of the house of the Chiefprocrous.

The chief prosecutor escaped during the process, even the person accused of stealing his home and is still not clearly aware of what was done with that process”, said in response.

Their timeframe has expired, so their mandate must anyway. The same for State Attorney Alexander Lumez, who only the state does not represent”, is further said in the communique.
