Although Freddy McConnell, 32, was biologically born female, she has a womb and is able to create and carry a baby in her womb. He turned into a male when he was in his mid-20s. The experience of pregnancy in the small town of Deal in Kent will be shown at the Tribeca Film Festival on 27 April. The remortem film, released by the “The Guardian”, shows the sequence from Freddy's pregnancy when he faces the frightening experience of losing his male identity as a result of bringing the child back to life.
He says: -“This is a movie for me that I have a baby, but what I'm going through is not just a normal pregnancy, but it's a total loss of self.” During his pregnancy he lived in Deal, Kent, the small town where he was raised because the close community made him feel better than London. And Freddy's mother shows the documentary her first thought when the girl told him she wanted to be a boy. That is why he would not have grandchildren from Freddy.
Despite being told that he would be infertile from the moment he started taking testosterone at the age of 25, Freddy loved a child. He said-“I always wanted to have children one day. Not only women can produce babies. I'm gonna have my baby and I'm gonna be a father”
Freddy began taking the testosterone when he was 25 years old and underwent surgery to remove breast tissue a year later. But he did not remove the womb because he had not ruled out the possibility of having a child. He took a donor's sperm and stopped taking testosterone in an attempt to get pregnant. Menstruation was restored, facial hair diminished, and her voice became thiner, like a female.
He told me about The Guardian whenever I think about it, I wonder, “What am I doing?” In the documentary he groans on cameras in the middle of the night and says he feels like an alien. By the time Freddy was born, he admitted that all he wanted to do was close his eyes and throw this experience behind his back.
And his mother shows his fear of her son in the documentary, saying he will be discriminated against. With tears in her eyes she said:- ” It's scary to see a transvene man pregnant. I worry about my baby. I want him to be happy” Freddy's mother remembered her pregnancy experience. She said:- “I like being pregnant. Everyone must experience that period. Especially men. Freddy is 30 years old and wants to start a family, but for him this common desire comes with unique challenges. He's a transsexual homosexual. The decision to give birth to his child required years of soul searching, but nothing could prepare him for the reality of pregnancy “. /Tch
