The Education Synidkat reports that despite several threats from some directors of the Teaching Directors will not be held on Saturdays or when it is a holiday.
“The SBASK also enjoys respect in Kosovo, and not only from the absolute majority of education workers, but also from unionists of other sectors and populations. This has made some individuals nervous, representing any central or local institutions and those to create an atmosphere of fear among members of the SBASK have also begun to mention the possibility of establishing any criminal charges against the president of this union, except that this blackmail can stop the SBASK in defense of membership”, said the SBASK communique.
The SBASK Steering Council and the mayors of the municipal level of union and university, bearing the voice of teachers and other education workers, have clearly said that if parliament votes to do the equal of teachers' partners of 1-5, professors, psychologists and school secretaries with their 6-9-level colleagues, then in the sign of solidification with them will extend this school year for a week and if this does not happen then there will not be even a missing hour on strike.
“Greva is legal and has also had the support of all Balkan and European unions and the law does not force strikers to compensate for hours lost in the strike. Teachers have said their words about this and the attempt to be sent hour after hour with blackmail, slander and lying statements is pressure and violation of their basic right. The Kolecative Education Agreement correctly states that education workers have five days of work and 20 classes a week. Any burden on this can be done with reconciliation between the two sides. To be required to work on Saturdays, without hiring education workers, is violating the Kolective Count, individual labour and Law contract. To disrespect the holidays and to be asked to work when they are even more serious violations. Directors make sure these are very heavy pieces of”, says the communique.
