Under the auspices of Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, today the memorial academy has been held dedicated to the 20-year anniversary of the Poklek massacre, which began with a minute of silence for all fallen.
Drenas municipality Chairman Ramiz Ladrovci said Drenica was the target of genocide for several times in a row and that justice must not forget to judge those who committed this genocide against the people of Kosovo.
Skender Muqolli, on behalf of the families of the martyrs, has asked the responsible institutions to collect the facts and the moment a court judges Serb crimes in Kosovo is established to have facts to punish those who committed genocide.
He said genocide was committed in Poklek after unarmed civilians were killed so they are seeking justice. And, Hysni Gucati from O VL- The KLA, said April 17th for the Kosovo people, shows the sacrifice for freedom.
