Democratic League of Kosovo Deputy Chairman Lutfi Haziri has confirmed that the LDK will participate in the May 17th elections.
“The LDK will no doubt enter the race in the extraordinary mayoral elections in the four northern municipalities. The candidates will be formalized at the next meeting we're going to have”, Haziri said.
Turnout in the May 17th elections has confirmed the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo as well.

Vetevendosje is also expected to make a decision these days regarding voter participation.

During today, Kosovo Democratic Party Chairman Kadri Veseli has confirmed that the ruling party is ready and will run with its mayoral candidates in the four northern Kosovo municipalities.
Wessel has confirmed the PDK's candidacy after the meeting he has had in his party office today with PDK branch leaders in northern Mitrovica, Zvecan, Zubin Potok and Leposavici.
“I know that you have challenges in the northern part, there have now been announced extraordinary elections, which have been announced under the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo. You are the PDK branches in the north and we will participate in the elections. We are the main party with the greatest support we have had since 2017 in all northern municipalities. Otherwise, Serbs have decided to participate in local elections for Kosovo's four northern municipalities after meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq.
We note that, Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has taken the decision to declare extraordinary elections for these municipalities after their mayors resigned irrevocable.
Otherwise, municipal elections for northern municipalities will be held on May 19th.
