The patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Kosovo, Irinej, has called on young Serbs to stay in Kosovo.
The Serbian patriarch Irinej, during yesterday's day, has kept a liturgy on the Patriarchate of Pec, where he told Serbian believers to stay in their place in Kosovo and survive in this country.
As writes “B92”, Irinej has also told Serbs that if he stays in Kosovo, other members of the Serb community should stay in Kosovo.
I'm here for you and you're here. Stay and survive”, Irinej was quoted as saying.
In Pec's Patriarchate, Serbian high school students from Gracanica, Prelluza, Llapna Sella and Augusterica were gathered, where they discussed the importance of their education.
In this case, Irinej has invited these young Serbs to stay in Kosovo and take the lead of their people.
“Patriarch Irinej met with Serbian high school students, inviting them to be willing to take the lead of the Serb people in Kosovo”, the statement said.
Irinej also, along with the bishop of Raska, Theodosius, and the other monks have taken a walk in the streets of the city of Peja and then visited the Church of Saint Ion Metrópolis in Pec
